Day 6 of Janathon…run

It not quite gone to plan Janathon so far…i have missed a few days exersise and missed even more blogs….

Well i`m hoping i get more consistent as the month goes on…

Today I managed to run 4k in 30min with my other half and even got to do 18min core exercise with a new app i found on google play store…

Janathon…better late then never…..

Well today is the 2nd of January….so the 2nd day of Janathon…but for me it the first day, i have done any exercise for Janathon….

My excuse, is a simple one…drinking games on new years eve is never a good idea for being able to function…as i started my day at about 1.30am throwing my guts up…lol

Today exercise was 12km on my shiny new road bicycle…specalized tarmac…it very red…really red…

Tomorrow will consider running…i do need to increase my cycling as i am doing the London to Brighton bike ride….

Try again

Been far to long in posting here, but let put that right…2013 is nearly here and so is janathon…..simple run everyday in January. Me i will run but not everyday…as i be using my bikes quite a bit, as in july i be doing the London to Brighton bike ride…the night version….wish me luck

Day 3 to the Gym we (I) go!!!

Day 3 and off to the gym we went…@pucegreen went off on the treadmill to go nowhere fast…..me I did lots of weights…and lots of core work…..

The gym machines are all link to a system that monitors your workouts and total up the amount lifted…then every month they put the total up on the notice board….I went the gum 13 times last mouth (35th in the top 100) so go me ;-) but anyway……

once pucegreen had worn her trainers out, how many miles do you get out of a pair of trainers?..

Had a relaxing half hour in the steam room, sauna and bubble pool…then off home for dinner

 

Sore legs need a rest so a couple of gym session….then I might try the treadmill……

On your bike…Juneathon Day 2

So 2nd of June…….Off to London for the day…..British Museum…..HMS Belast……with some south bank wondering thrown in for good measure…..so got home and thought better get some exercise in so off out on the bike for 30 min did 10K….job done…night I am sooooo tired @pucegeen already asleep……..

Juneathon Day 1/30 – Swimming time

Well not used this blog much in the last few months……so quick update since last post…..

Well….I was planning to do a 10k in March and then a half marathon on June, well all was on  target, I was up to 4k in a February and getting quicker etc…then well my leg started to hurt, so since February I had pains in my left leg, I am currently waiting on a Physio appointment so hopefully soon I can get it bloody sorted and start running again, I can do anything else…swim, cycle, weights etc…just hurts to much to run…..Doing a lot of core work to help with it all…

Anyone back today efforts…

Another run…2nd in 4 days

Evening people…

Well tonight I headed to the gym, not feeling great, but needed to get another run in to start building up for this 10K….so off I went and hit the treadmill……Got to 3K in 21 min so not to bad…with cool down hit about 3.3k but it was starting to hurt, legs are feeling it now, so to take my mind off my legs I had a shower and now sitting here typing this with the slendertone on ;-)

6 Weeks to next Challenge, not a bad start

At this moment in time I have 2 goal/challenges..

First up..run 30k in 4 weeks (Finish on the 26th), nothing major, but a reasonable challenge for me….manage to get to 7.4 so in 20 days I need to run 22K..might struggle…life busy at the moment…but we shall see…

Well the main Challenge that coming up is the 1ok end or March, so I have 6 weeks to get ready, so with that aim in mind, I started the training today, with a 25 min run(total of 30 min including cooldown) and well I have to admit I did rather well, I mamage just over 4K which I am really please with, my furthest run to date so not a bad start.

Janathon Day 29/31……now that a run ;-)

I did it, I did it, I did it, I set myself the goal of running 3K before the end of January and today I flipping did it, I ran 3K in the gym, then did all my weights that have been upped and a few more machines added (working well as I am sore in my chest, so it must be working….;-) oh and I am still using the Slendertone, which I hope to do a post about during the week….

As for running suppose the question now is where to go from here, I think it need a week or two of 3k before moving to 4k…question is I want to do a 10K end of March so need to get up to distance sooner rather then later and the bit step of running outside, but hopefully end of Febuary It be a little bit warmer, so be able to do the odd short run outside and get use to it..all in time for March 20th which happens to be about 3 month before the half marathon in June…..

Janathon Day 24/31….cocks and GT5…

Ok so it far to say, I have ummm errr missed a few days now, but it looks like there some goals in sight, @pucegreen has given me loads of goals, but that no bad thing if fact I liking her thinking (shhhh don’t Tell her that though)…so March 20th 10K in Thetford forest…that sounds like fun, I love Thetford forest spent a few trips there, doing the Black route…(wonder if I could afford to buy it ;-) ) so that the current thinking…to get the arse of mine in gear to get to 10K, and then a half marathon end of June, place your bets now…….

I did pop to the gym for a session with the instructor to change/improve/add to my program there so I am hoping that with some blood sweat and tears (hopefully no blood or tears if I being honest) I improve……well me, and if I don’t it all @jayMcNeill fault as I be stuck playing Gran Turismo 5…that my story and I am sticking to it…

Anyway onto tonight’s game of badminton, Because I enjoyed the match a lot I played as much as I can. I have (with help of my brother and others) been making an effort to improve my serve and my game as a whole, and though I still get beaten the result are getting better (most of the time ;-) )

So 2 hours Badminton tonight, Gym tomorrow……Swim Wednesday…
